| Electricross | Three times the power of a Honda CRF150, but silent. This bike is extremely powerful. Wheelies and burnouts cannot be avoided. This is no toy!
It begins with a 19+ horsepower (14,400 watt) electric vehicle motor and programmable controller. The power is stored in a special quick-change power pack that can deliver up to 600 amps. Then it's wrapped in the lightest handcrafted aluminum frame made in the USA.
They have designed, are making and selling, a high speed electric motorcycle in the offroad dirt styling. As said above it is a powerful motor (the Perm 132) mated with a high power battery pack and controller.

| Electric Motorsport | Electric motorcycle builder and scooter dealer.
|
| EVette | The "EVette" was custom made by Tom Sines and his wife Yvette, and is a one-of-a-kind EV that has extreme maneuverability and with just a flick of a wrist can turn on a dime and even spin like a top (just for the fun of it). There is not a four wheeled car on the road that can even come close to the maneuverability this has. Best of all, with gas prices surging to new high's, I never have to stop at the pump.
This is our vision of the "Car of the Future" and we've spent years perfecting this patented design. It's street legal and registered in Florida as a motorcycle. This is not a glorified golf cart, go cart, or ZTR mower design. This car is all about more batteries, more power, and much more maneuverability.
|
| Electric Motorbike Inc. | This is the preserved home page of Electric Motorbike Inc., the original makers of the Lectra. The Lectra was an early commercial electric motorcycle.
|
| BugE | The BugE is a yummy-looking electric motorcycle kit you can buy for a very reasonable price. It is a 48 volt design, three wheeled, in the "reverse trike" layout. That means two wheels in front, one in the rear. For three-wheeled vehicles this promises better stability.
|
| Zero Motorcycles | Makers of an electric motorcycle meant for motocross racing. It is powered with Li-ION batteries making it very light and able to perform well in competition with gas motocross bikes. They suggest they will take what they're learning, and apply it to building regular street bikes.
This company was formerly called Electricross.
|
| zwheelz | They promise to be developing designs for three wheeled electric motorcycles. The site currently doesn't have any details.
|
| Triumph Daytona - Electric | A builder of custom designed electric motorcycles. The site is confusing because they link to so many other sites, e.g. a builder of custom chopper frames whose catalog is clearly including gas motors. The motorbiker.org article talks about a design they've built using a Triumph motorcycle, and which goes over 100 miles/hr.

| My Open Source Electric Vehicle | A blog/diary of building an electric motorcycle. The specifications appear to be published openly so that others can replicate it.
|
| evMotorcycle.org | The plan is simple. Take one Honda Varadero 125 that was thrashed to death and resurrect it into an electric motorcycle. A full size, fully equipped, usable motorcycle, that will be driven around Dublin, Ireland, on a daily basis.
This is nothing new. A little research online will prove that, however it is now not only possible, but feasible, because of the advent of lithium battery technology. Sure, we are not at the point where the technology can compete with decades of development from the internal combustion engine and the Dyno may not read 120 BHP at the back wheel with this little Varadero, but perhaps it can be made to compete with its petrol equivalent?
|
| ZwheelZ | A three wheel reverse trike EV motorcycle that looks really cool. They don't have much in the way of spec's but they've made some good decisions it appears so far. And it seems this will be available for sale later this year.
Reverse Trike == three wheel motorcycle, two wheels in front, one in back.
I think the design is very good.. the frame is built around a battery box and the seats sit on top of the battery box. It appears the battery box has ample room for a good quantity of batteries. Unfortunately the video says "lead acid".
One thing I think it lacks is a fairing. The design as it is simply is not aerodynamic.

|
| Pure Electric Vehicles, Trilectra | A three wheeled electric motorcycle in a reverse trike configuration.
Their design uses AGM lead acid batteries and a brushed DC motor.
The speed max seems to be 40 miles/hr for 40 mile range, however I expect this to be an overstatement. Its cost is $9000.
